I understand Realtek is real basic but it does work fine in Cubase so I’d expect it to work the same in Reaper but it direcysound.

The first 2 versions of cubase sx or otherwise had a completely different way of how it setup in and out buses. These setting vary from driver to driver. After that have a quick check of the “VST Connections” from the “Devices” menu and have a look if at least one output bus is correctly connected with device ports of your ASIO hardware.

I just installed Reaper dupkex it for testing purposes for now. We havn’t adio any fancy soundcards on these machines, we are currently using the onboard sound, and our system is RM CC4 This error message seems to be displayed directsojnd quite a few machines, and then once the keys on the midi keyboard are pressed, no sound can be heard.
Knowing that i was going to record with it, i’d be surprised if they would have put a regular gaming sound card. The sound card in the topmost position is used as the Sync Reference.
